Capital investment in Ukraine rose by 20.3% over the year, with the largest share of capital investment going to the industrial sector.
In 2025, capital investment in Ukraine totaled 893.6 billion hryvnia, a 20.3% increase from 2024, according to the State Statistics Service.
More than a third of the total investment volume (36.6%) went to industry—UAH 327.1 billion.
Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries received UAH 107.3 billion in investments (12% of all capital investments).
Next came transportation and warehousing (UAH 84.8 billion, or 9.5%) and public administration and defense (UAH 70.3 billion, or 7.9%).
Almost all capital investments were concentrated in tangible assets—95.1% of the total volume. Intangible assets accounted for 4.9%, respectively.
Specifically, the largest share of funds was invested in:
— machinery, equipment, and tools (36.1%);
— civil engineering structures (20.8%);
— non-residential buildings (14.3%).
The bulk of capital investments—73.3%—was directed toward the acquisition and creation of new assets.
Among the regions, Kyiv (UAH 333 billion, or 37.3%) and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (UAH 87 billion, or 9.7%) led in terms of capital investment volumes.
