Brass is a valuable alloy of copper and zinc, which is widely used in various industries due to its properties, such as strength, corrosion resistance and good electrical conductivity. These characteristics make brass attractive to recycling points, as it is easily recycled and reused. However, the capacity utilization of foundries remains low - from 10% to 40%. The best situation is at enterprises specializing in small castings, while the production of large-sized and large-tonnage products is facing limited demand. The reasons for this are the reduction in orders in the metallurgical and machine-building sectors. In such a situation, enterprises are not ready to invest in upgrading equipment and expanding the range. As for the prospects for 2025, enterprises are capable of producing 500-600 thousand tons of castings per year. However, this potential directly depends on demand.
