According to experts, fuel prices in Ukraine may increase in 2025 due to several important factors:world oil prices;legislative initiatives.
Thus, from September 1, 2024, the law on increasing the excise tax on fuel came into force, which provides for a gradual increase in rates until 2028. Since the beginning of 2025, excise taxes have increased:on gasoline - from 242.6 to 271.7 euros per ton;
on diesel fuel - from 177.6 to 215.7 euros per ton;
on autogas - from 165 to 193 euros per ton.
At the same time, the growth in global oil production, according to EIA forecasts, may stabilize prices for oil and petroleum products, which will make it possible to restrain sharp fluctuations in the cost of fuel in Ukraine.
