The Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine met with representatives of the Korean company LS Group and discussed the possibility of building a tractor plant with Ukrainian partners. Korean businessmen were also interested in projects for the production of bioethanol and the production of engines and other equipment for agricultural machinery.This was reported by the Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitaly Koval.“I am sure that this is just the beginning of our cooperation. The construction of a tractor plant can strengthen our industrial base, create new jobs and strengthen Ukraine’s position as a manufacturer of high-quality agricultural machinery. Moreover, it can increase our own production of agricultural machinery, which is one of the key priorities of the Strategy for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas in Ukraine until 2030,” the Minister noted.LS Group is one of the leaders of South Korean industry. Their model range includes tractors with a power of 30 to 150 hp.Ukraine’s need for tractors is significant. Since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukraine has lost over 8,000 units of machinery and equipment, of which over 1,000 units are tractors.
