Ukrainian farmers are compensated for keeping cows, sheep and goats: over UAH 386 million in subsidiesThe Government of Ukraine continues to support farmers - over UAH 386 million in special subsidies for the development of livestock farming has been allocated from the state budget. This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. In particular, UAH 220.78 million was allocated for keeping cattle (cows) of all productivity areas.
Another UAH 165.77 million was allocated for supporting the breeding stock of sheep and goats. Financing is carried out within the framework of the Emergency Project for Providing Inclusive Support for the Restoration of Agriculture in Ukraine (ARISE).These funds should ensure stability in the livestock sector, which is gradually demonstrating positive dynamics. As previously reported, in the first quarter of 2025, agricultural enterprises produced more milk than households, which indicates an increase in the industrial potential of the industry. In addition, in April 2025, auctions were launched in nine regions of Ukraine to support livestock farming, which will attract additional investments at the local level and stimulate the development of farms.According to analysts, such a state policy contributes to the preservation of productive livestock, increasing the country's self-sufficiency in livestock products and creating new jobs in rural areas.
