In 2025, Ukrzaliznytsia again topped the ranking of the largest employers in Ukraine, despite a 5% reduction in staff (178.6 thousand employees). In second place is ATB-Market (46.1 thousand, +4.5%), in third place is Gas Distribution Networks (37.7 thousand, +12.5%), which entered the top three for the first time. In total, 6 out of 10 companies in the top increased their staff, the most - Gas Distribution Networks (+12.5%) and Silpo (+4.9%). At the same time, 4 companies reduced their staff, in particular, Lisy Ukrainy (-20%) and Ukrposhta (-9%). Outside the top, the Aurora network (4-fold growth since the beginning of the war) and NovaPay (+7.5%) stand out. Financial results show that only half of the top 10 companies made a profit (8.16 billion UAH in total), while 4 companies suffered losses of 12.1 billion UAH. The situation with individual entrepreneurs also remains difficult: in 2025, 9% fewer entrepreneurs opened (81.9 thousand) than closed (119.9 thousand, +44% compared to 2024).
