The Government of Ukraine has approved the Regulation on the Natural Gas Consumption Information Database, which implements the provisions of the law "On Ensuring Commercial Accounting of Natural Gas". This was reported by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
He notes that the natural gas consumption information database is being created to control the use of imported gas resources and domestic production and provides for automated accounting of consumers, the volumes of natural gas consumed (withdrawn) by them, as well as market entities related to them.It is reported that the owner of the information database and the exclusive intellectual property rights to its software is the Ministry of Energy, which is also its holder. The administrator of the information database will be LLC "Operator of the Gas Transportation System of Ukraine".
