Ukrainian ports processed 6 million tons of cargo in April

Ukrainian seaports processed 6 million tons of cargo in April of this year. This was reported to Ukrinform by the Ukrainian Seaports Administration (USPA).The largest share in the total volume of transshipment in the specified period was accounted for by grain cargoes - 3.1 million tons, as well as ore - 1 million tons.In particular, the port of Pivdennyi processed 2.4 million tons, Chornomorsk - 1.8 million tons, and the port of Odessa - 1 million tons. The ports of the Danube region (Izmail, Reni and Ust-Dunaysk) together processed about 800 thousand tons of cargo.In April, 5.3 million tons of cargo were transported through the Ukrainian sea corridor (-45% year-on-year), 2.9 million tons of agricultural products.

Recall that in January-March 2025, Ukrainian ports processed 23 million tons of cargo. The largest volumes of transshipment traditionally fall on the ports of Greater Odessa, which provided 20.7 million tons of cargo turnover.As reported by GMK Center, Ukrainian seaports processed 18.5 million tons of ore cargo in 2024. The total cargo turnover of Ukrainian ports last year reached a record figure of 97.2 million tons compared to 62 million tons in 2023, exports amounted to 88.1 million tons.
