The European Parliament, at a plenary session in Strasbourg on June 17, supported the extension of the agreement between Ukraine and the European Union on the carriage of goods by road, which was adopted in June 2022, until the end of this year, Ukrinform reports. 488 deputies voted in favor, 137 against, 34 abstained.
During the preliminary consideration in the relevant committee, MEPs added a number of new points to the text of the agreement. Requirements for transport operators are being tightened, in particular regarding the fight against fraud, forgery of driver documents and violations of traffic rules.
