Ukraine increases biomethane exports: third company enters European market

Ukraine continues to expand its capabilities in the field of “green” energy – the agricultural holding “Hals Agro” has become the third Ukrainian producer to start supplying biomethane to Europe. The first batch of almost 73,000 cubic meters to the German company Uniper has already been delivered through the Hungarian gas transportation system.LLC “Gorodishche-Pustovarivska Agrarian Company” (GOPAK), which is part of the agricultural holding “Hals Agro”, has carried out the first export of biomethane of its own production. Thus, the company has joined VitAgro and MHP, which are already supplying this renewable resource to the EU.“Hals Agro” is a large Ukrainian agricultural holding that specializes not only in the production of grain, sugar and meat products, but also actively develops the direction of renewable energy. It consists of four biogas complexes operating in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions with a total capacity of 14.7 MW.
