Seasonal dynamics in the grain market: review from UUB

In early June, the wheat market demonstrated relative stability, but in the second half of the month prices began to decline. According to analysts, such dynamics are due to weakening export demand and changes in external markets.“In July-August, an increase in the supply of wheat from the new harvest is expected, which will put pressure on prices. At the same time, renewed interest from processors and traders may restrain further decline,” noted experts from the Ukrainian Universal Exchange. The situation in the corn market was also ambiguous.

According to trading orders on the AgroMarket UUB platform, quotes were growing in early June, but by the end of the month a decrease was recorded. The main reason is weakening demand. As of the end of June, the average price was UAH 9,521/t (EXW with VAT), which is 3.76% less compared to the beginning of the month. The Ukrainian Universal Exchange continues to develop an organized agricultural market and offers a new level of transparency and service - exchange trading in grain and oilseed crops on the UUB platform.
