State grants have stimulated large-scale renewal of orchards in the agricultural sector in Ukraine

Over the past three years, the Ukrainian agricultural sector has significantly updated its fund of perennial plantings thanks to a specialized grant support program.
As noted by the Association "Berry Growing of Ukraine", from 2022 to 2025, domestic farmers laid more than 3.7 thousand hectares of new orchards and plantations, covering 19 regions of the country at the same time.
The state allocated 1.12 billion hryvnias for the development of the industry, issuing a total of 295 grants.
The largest areas of new plantings in 2022–2025 are:garden strawberries;
nut crops (hazelnut, walnut, etc.);
apple trees;
blueberries and bilberries;
raspberries.
The largest number of grants was implemented in Transcarpathia. Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions are also among the leaders. At the same time, there were no applications for grant support in the frontline and temporarily occupied regions.
