The new car market in January increased by 19.5%

In January 2026, Ukrainians purchased more than 5.1 thousand new passenger cars, Ukravtoprom reports.
As noted, this is the best result for January in the last three years. Compared to January 2025, the demand for new cars increased by 19.5%.
The most popular brand of the month was TOYOTA, which sold a quarter more of its cars than last year.
The TOP-10 of the month included:
TOYOTA – 845 units (+25%);
BYD – 548 units (+117%);
RENAULT – 439 units (+31%);
SKODA – 368 units (+23%);
VOLKSWAGEN – 359 units (+99%);
HYUNDAI – 289 units (+56%);
BMW – 190 units (-42%);
MAZDA – 185 units (+57%);
SUZUKI – 175 units (-1%);
NISSAN – 173 units (+9%).
The bestseller of the month was the compact crossover RENAULT Duster.
