Unified rules for priority border crossing introduced for perishable agricultural products

Ukrainian farmers have received updated and unified rules for priority border crossing for perishable products.
Order of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine No. 5639 came into force, which approved the lists of agricultural products with a limited shelf life and special storage conditions.
The purpose of the document is to reduce cargo delays at the border and ensure automated priority in the eQueue system.
Until now, the lack of a single, legally established list of goods has caused delays at checkpoints and overloading of the logistics infrastructure. Fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy products often stood idle in general queues for many hours, and sometimes days, which led to loss of quality and financial losses for business.
The approved rules allow:
Automate priority in "eQueue" - the system will independently determine the status of the cargo by code and provide priority passage without manual intervention.
Reduce corruption risks - a single list eliminates the possibility of subjective decisions or manipulations.
Preserve product quality - perishable goods will be controlled in priority order.
The new rules are already being integrated into electronic border control services and are mandatory for implementation at all international and interstate checkpoints.
