FUIB provided "Pozhmashyna" with a UAH 500 million loan for a plant construction project at the "Formatsia" IP in Lviv

The First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB, Kyiv) has provided the Industrial Company "Pozhmashyna" (Pryluky, Chernihiv region) with a loan of UAH 500 million for the implementation of the project to create a new plant for the company in the "Formation" industrial park in Lviv with total investments of up to $20 million, the owner of "Pozhmashyna" Oleg Averyanov reported.

"We received an investment loan from our partner, FUIB Bank, for UAH 500 million for a period of five years at 5% in hryvnia. You won't find such conditions anywhere in Ukraine," he said during the forum "Industrial Evolution: Production Turns On the Economy" in the Bila Tserkva Industrial Park on Thursday.

Averyanov recalled that after the start of the Russian Federation's full-scale military invasion of Ukraine, he decided to partially relocate production to Lviv, first to leased facilities, and then began construction of a new plant in the Formatsia Industrial Park.

As reported, Pozhmashina announced the start of construction of a new plant for the production of special vehicles in early 2025 with an estimated construction period of two years and investments of $15 million.

Pozhmashina Industrial Company produces a wide range of fire-fighting, emergency and rescue and specialized equipment, and has repeatedly supplied special equipment to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

According to the company owner, currently up to 70-80% of special vehicles that save people's lives in places of enemy attacks are produced by "Pozhmashina".

"I decided to invest $20 million in the construction of a plant in an industrial park, although in fact 100 km from Lviv is Poland, where the conditions for investment and development are much better, but I believe in my country and want my children to live and work in Ukraine," Averyanov said at the forum.

Answering the question about the existence of scaling plans at the expense of European markets, he noted that the company cannot be called export-oriented.

"And Ukraine is a rather interesting, serious and powerful market, which we should not, will not give up. Because no one is waiting for us in Europe," Averyanov emphasized.

At the same time, he reported that Pozhmashina has a company in Poland through which it sells products.

"We opened a company in Poland, we sell our products there through a Polish company, but the competition is very tough. As for the special equipment segment, it is quite difficult to sell a fire truck to Germany or France, although it is possible to sell to Romania, Bulgaria," the owner of "Pozhmashina" noted.

LLC "PP "Pozhmashina", according to the YouControl resource, in 2025 received 264 million UAH of net profit - 29% less than the previous year with a slight increase in net income - up to 1.89 billion UAH.

FUIB is the largest bank with private capital in Ukraine, its ultimate beneficiary is Rinat Akhmetov.

According to the National Bank, as of January 1, 2026, FUIB with net assets of UAH 231.03 billion ranked 5th among 60 banks in the country, and net profit for 2025 amounted to UAH 8.05 billion.
