The Ukrainian economy is gradually forming a new foothold — not only due to international aid, but also thanks to investments, entrepreneurship development and large-scale restoration projects. The beginning of autumn demonstrates that business interest in the Ukrainian market does not disappear, but on the contrary — is moving into a practical plane.
A bright signal was the Lviv Invest Forum 2026, which took place in Lviv on September 1. The event brought together more than 2 thousand participants — entrepreneurs, investors, developers, representatives of international companies, financial institutions and the public sector. The focus was on real opportunities for investment and economic development of Ukraine.
Interestingly, in parallel, the state continues to expand the tools to support Ukrainian manufacturers. In 2026, the Ministry of Economy for the first time expanded the list of Ukrainian industrial machinery and equipment, the purchase of which can be compensated by the state by 15%. Such a mechanism should stimulate enterprises to purchase Ukrainian products and direct funds to the development of their own production.
Another important indicator is housing lending. According to the Ministry of Economy, the e-Housing program has already helped more than 28,000 Ukrainian families purchase their own homes, and the total amount of available mortgages has reached UAH 50 billion. This means not only supporting citizens, but also the work of an entire economic ecosystem - builders, material manufacturers, banks, developers and related businesses.
Ukraine also continues to attract international capital to reconstruction. In particular, Switzerland announced the third competition for investment projects for the economic recovery of Ukraine with a total grant support budget of 50 million Swiss francs.
All this indicates an important change: the Ukrainian economy is increasingly moving from simply maintaining resilience to finding points for growth.
Investment, production, construction, lending and support for small businesses are becoming a kind of economic engine of the country. It is on how effectively Ukraine will be able to transform international support and private investments into new enterprises, jobs and production facilities that its economic future will largely depend.
While the world assesses the risks of the Ukrainian market, more and more companies are already assessing its opportunities. And this is perhaps one of the most important economic signals of the beginning of autumn 2026.
