Ukrainian producers continue to increase exports of agro-processing products. In the first 18 days of August, the volume of vegetable oil transported by rail in the export direction increased by 55.9% compared to the same period last year.
In total, 71.9 thousand tons of vegetable oil were transported by rail during this period. This is also 19.4% more than was transported in July.
The main direction remains the western borders of Ukraine - about 77% of export volumes passed through them. Another part of the products was sent to Ukrainian ports, in particular to Izmail and Reni.
Positive dynamics are also observed in the export of by-products of oilseed processing. In the 18 days of August, the export of oilcake and meal by rail amounted to 104 thousand tons.
The growth in exports indicates the activity of the Ukrainian agricultural sector and its ability to increase the volume of processing and supplies to foreign markets.
