Ukrainians are increasing their savings: household deposits have exceeded UAH 1.75 trillion.

The volume of funds held by individuals in Ukrainian banks continues to grow. As of August 1, 2026, the total amount of deposits from the general public and individual entrepreneurs reached UAH 1.75 trillion.

Over the course of the month, the total deposit volume increased by another UAH 1.3 billion. The overall trend remains positive: Ukrainians continue to keep significant amounts of funds within the banking system.

Another indicator confirms this dynamic: in August alone, household funds in bank accounts rose by UAH 7.2 billion, while deposits by individuals increased by 17.2% year-on-year.

This growth in savings indicates that the banking system remains a vital financial tool for the public, and that banks possess a substantial resource base for lending to the economy.
