DAR launches grant program for farm development

On May 12, the State Agrarian Register (DAR) will start accepting applications for a new grant cycle for Ukrainian agricultural producers. Farmers from eight regions will be able to receive up to UAH 1.1 million for machinery, equipment, green technologies, processing and infrastructure.
The program is available to farmers from Dnipropetrovsk, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Volyn, Ternopil and Khmelnytskyi regions. Applications are accepted through DAR until June 14, 2026.
Grant support will help small producers upgrade production, improve product quality, strengthen processing and sell more finished products with higher added value.
The initiative is implemented by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with financial support from the European Union.
The areas of support depend on the region and specialization of local producers.
In Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Ternopil and Khmelnytskyi regions, grants will be available to producers in the fields of berry growing, vegetable growing, aquaculture, as well as the production and processing of dairy products.
In Zakarpattia region, the program will support producers of Transcarpathian honey, Transcarpathian wine and traditional Hutsul cheeses, in particular Hutsul cow bryndza and sheep bryndza. Grants will also be available to producers in the fields of aquaculture, berry growing, vegetable growing and non-timber forest products.
In Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions, support will be available to producers in the fields of berry growing, vegetable growing, non-timber forest products, aquaculture and traditional Hutsul cheese production.
Grants will be provided in hryvnia equivalent at the UN exchange rate in two categories:
up to UAH 440,500 – for small agricultural producers;
up to UAH 1,101,250 – for micro and small agricultural enterprises, agricultural cooperatives and associations of producers of products with geographical indications.
Program participants must provide co-financing. Its share will depend on the chosen area of ​​activity.
On May 14 at 10:00, FAO will hold a webinar on the launch of the fourth grant cycle.
