Grain prices in Ukraine: corn is getting cheaper, soybeans are getting more expensive - updated data from the exchange

According to the Ukrainian Universal Exchange, over the past week, corn and wheat prices have continued to fall under the pressure of weak export demand, while the soybean market is showing growth. Grade 4 wheat has fallen the most in price - to 9,460 UAH/t.Analysts at the Ukrainian Universal Exchange presented updated price indicators for the period from May 20 to 27. On the domestic market, the average price of corn was 9,884 UAH/t (EXW with VAT), demonstrating a gradual decline due to pressure from the export market. However, limited sales by farmers are holding back a sharper drop in prices.

The situation on the wheat market remains difficult:

Grade 2 wheat – 10,198 UAH/t
Grade 3 wheat – 10,023 UAH/t
Grade 4 wheat – 9,460 UAH/t

The oilseed market is experiencing mixed dynamics: sunflower prices remain relatively stable, while soybeans are showing growth. The situation on international markets also remains tense. In Chicago, wheat futures fell for the third day in a row due to improved yield forecasts in the USA. The European stock exchange Euronext recorded the fourth day of decline in wheat prices due to the weakening of weather risks. As a reminder, at the end of April 2025, prices for Ukrainian wheat reached 11,200 UAH/t, however, with the beginning of the new harvest season, experts predict a further easing of price pressure. Farmers are advised to closely monitor market trends via the AgroMarket UUB Telegram bot.
