In January-June 2025, domestic steel consumption in Ukraine increased by 11.65% — to 1.94 million tons. For comparison, for the same period last year this figure was 1.73 million tons. This was reported by the association of enterprises "Ukrmetalurgprom".1.22 million tons of domestically produced rolled steel entered the Ukrainian market in six months, which is 80 thousand tons more than last year. The share of Ukrainian rolled steel is 63% of the total consumption. Another 37% (716 thousand tons) falls on imports, which increased by 2.85% year-on-year.Flat rolled steel still dominates the import structure — 77.3% against 21% of long steel. The main suppliers of rolled metal products remain European countries (57.4%), in particular the EU-27 (23.3%). The share of Asian countries is 18.7%.Let us recall that according to the results of the first five months of 2025, the capacity of the Ukrainian rolled metal market also showed positive dynamics - an increase of 14.5% year-on-year.
