The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a decision that obliges domestic manufacturers participating in government procurement to confirm the Ukrainian origin of their products with additional evidence. The initiative aims to prevent companies that pass off imported goods as Ukrainian from participating in tenders.
The Ministry of Economy will verify the authenticity of information about production. It is expected that the new mechanism will allow for a more effective separation of real Ukrainian manufacturers from pseudo-localized imports and will contribute to the development of national industrial potential.Localization remains a key tool of the government's "Made in Ukraine" policy. Thanks to its application, it was possible to support manufacturers of public transport, municipal equipment, rescue vehicles and other sectors during a full-scale invasion. In 2024, the list of goods subject to localization requirements was expanded to 128 categories. In addition, the government has established the Pulse platform as an official state service for business communication with government agencies. The service is already operating in the taxpayer's office and six regions, having collected more than 270 thousand reviews and 25 thousand comments from entrepreneurs. In the future, the platform plans to introduce electronic business petitions and a public dashboard for open interaction between business and the state.
