The digitalization of business services continues in Ukraine. As of October, more than 900 thousand citizens have taken advantage of the opportunity to automatically open an individual entrepreneur without the participation of a registrar.The development of electronic services became possible thanks to the deep modernization of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Organizations, which made it possible to transfer not only the opening, but also the making of changes and closure of an individual entrepreneur into a digital format. According to the Ministry of Justice, 1.69 million users have used the service since its launch, including:913.5 thousand opened their own business;362.8 thousand updated their data;410.1 thousand ceased entrepreneurial activity.
The ministry emphasizes that the automation of these processes has become part of systemic changes in the provision of public services. Thanks to digital solutions, Ukrainians can open or close a business in just a few minutes - without queues, paper applications and bureaucracy.Deputy Minister of Justice for Digital Transformation Olga Ryabukha said that the Ministry of Justice strives for any citizen to be able to manage their business quickly and conveniently. According to her, digital technologies are turning the state into a modern service partner for citizensThe initiative was implemented jointly with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine with the support of the EGAP Program. It is implemented by the Eastern Europe Foundation with funding from the Swiss government.The NBU proposes to change the procedure for closing individual entrepreneurs to combat dropouts. The bank proposes to introduce a preliminary check of the entrepreneur's activities - an assessment of turnover, tax payments and other financial indicators before allowing the registration of the termination of a business.
