Polish projects will receive the largest amount of funds - almost €452 million. They include work on the Rail Baltica mainline, the development of the Mykołów - Czech border connection, the implementation of the ETCS system on the TEN-T network and the expansion of the fairway to the ports of Świnoujście, Szczecin and Police. Slovakia will finance four projects worth €135 million to improve connections with Eastern Slovakia, Ukraine and the Czech Republic.Romania will receive €45 million for the development of a railway corridor from Constanta and Bucharest to the borders with Ukraine and Moldova. Another €33 million is earmarked for a joint Romanian-Moldovan project to modernise and electrify the Iasi-Ungheni section.In July, the European Commission selected 94 infrastructure initiatives that will receive a total of almost €2.8 billion in funding under the CEF.
