Export prices for barley in Ukraine increased

Export demand prices for feed barley in Ukraine increased by 200-300 UAH/t last week and reached the level of 11,050-11,200 UAH/t ($224-229/t) with delivery to Black Sea ports. The main reason for this increase was the limited supply from farmers and the need to form full export batches.
In 28 days of November, Ukraine exported only 75 thousand tons of barley, which is significantly less compared to the same period last year (157 thousand tons). Since the beginning of the season, the export volume amounted to 1.167 million tons, which is 59% less than last year's figure of 1.86 million tons.At international tenders, prices for barley delivered to buyers increased by $4–5/t during the month, reaching $267–269/t on C&F terms. However, further growth is unlikely, as large volumes of Australian barley are expected to enter the market in December, the harvest of which exceeded forecasts.
