In the Volyn region, preparations have begun for the implementation of two significant investment projects in the field of agricultural production. The Rozhyshchyna City Council has granted permission to develop a detailed plan for the territory for the construction of a mushroom farm outside the village of Perespa. 11.2 hectares are planned to be allocated for the future mushroom farm.According to AgroReview, the development of livestock farming is planned in parallel in the region.
The City Council also agreed to prepare a plan for the territory for the construction of a pig fattening complex near the village of Sokil. The new pig complex with an area of over 15 hectares will be designed to keep 10 thousand heads. The development of agricultural infrastructure in the regions is taking place against the backdrop of increased state support for the sector. The draft State Budget for 2026 provides for financing the agricultural sector at the level of UAH 14.1 billion — UAH 4.5 billion more than in 2025. The funds will be directed to demining programs, risk insurance, irrigation development, grants and subsidies, affordable loans, and support for farmers in frontline areas.According to the government, in 2024 and the first half of 2025, more than ₴5.2 billion was allocated to support farmers, but only about 33% of potential recipients were able to submit applications. At the same time, the Accounting Chamber reports an imbalance in the distribution of funds: a significant part of state support is received by large agricultural holdings. Thus, last year, 49 recipients, which are part of 31 corporate groups, received 16% of all budget payments for agricultural producers.
