As of August 10, 5.63 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops have already been threshed in Ukraine, which is 49% of the projected area. 26.13 million tons of grain were threshed with an average yield of 4.64 tons/hectare, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture on the progress of the harvest.In particular, farmers harvested:wheat — 19.74 million tons from 4.07 million hectares (79% of the area) with an average yield of 4.85 tons/hectare;
barley — 5.68 million tons from 1.29 million hectares (86%) with a yield of 4.41 tons/hectare;
peas — 712.3 thousand tons from 276.9 thousand hectares (93%) with a yield of 2.57 tons/hectare.
The largest gross harvest of grains and legumes was provided by Odesa region — 4.06 million tons, Kirovohrad region — 2.33 million tons, Mykolaiv region — 2.33 million tons, Dnipropetrovsk region — 2.29 million tons and Poltava region — 1.58 million tons.The highest average yield is currently recorded in Khmelnytsky region — 6.96 tons/ha. The top three also included Ternopil region (6.19 tons/ha) and Vinnytsia region (5.97 tons/ha).
