In 2024, Ukraine's trade turnover increased by 13% to $112.3 billion: imports amounted to $70.7 billion, while exports totaled $41.6 billion. 81% of imports were taxed, with the tax burden per kg of imports rising by 5% to $0.51/kg. The largest suppliers were China, Poland, and Germany, while the biggest export markets were Poland, Spain, and Germany.
The main import categories were machinery and equipment ($25 billion), chemical products ($11.7 billion), and fuel ($8.9 billion). Exports were primarily composed of food products ($24.6 billion), metals ($4.4 billion), and machinery ($3.5 billion).
Over 400 billion UAH was collected in customs duties.
