Ukraine resumes electricity exports

On March 5, Ukraine resumed electricity exports at certain hours of the day at a minimum level.
It is noted that deliveries are made exclusively during a surplus in the power system. The supply volumes are still very low - only 12 MWh were exported to Moldova during the day at night.
The last time electricity was exported was on November 11, 2025.
For the next day, March 6, companies reserved 120 MWh of capacity for export at daily capacity auctions. The largest capacity was reserved for 10 a.m. - 20 MW. On March 5, larger capacities were registered at capacity allocation auctions, up to 61 MW at certain hours, but they were not actually used.
It is noted that currently the surplus in certain hours is formed due to the active generation of solar power plants and renewable energy sources in general, as well as due to the consistently high level of production at nuclear power plants.
