The Swiss-Ukrainian tool for preparing municipal projects PPF4Ukraine has been launched in Ukraine. The program will help communities prepare investment projects according to international standards and provides for grant co-financing of up to 20% of their cost.
Delo.ua reports this with reference to a message from the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.
PPF4Ukraine should help communities go through the preparatory stage before attracting funding. This involves developing high-quality investment projects that can be implemented, in particular, with the involvement of private capital through public-private partnership mechanisms.
First Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Alena Shkrum noted that local self-government needs not only financial resources, but also the ability to prepare projects that meet international standards.
"This is what the PPF4Ukraine program is aimed at - it helps to go all the way from the idea to the implementation of the project", said Shkrum.
According to her, special attention within the program is asked to be paid to communities in the east and south of Ukraine. Due to the war, they have the greatest shortage of human resources and need additional support.
The first participants of PPF4Ukraine were Vinnytsia and Kryvyi Rih. In the future, other communities will be able to join the program.
