Ukraine and India are entering a new stage of economic cooperation. During negotiations in Kyiv on September 3, the parties agreed to more actively develop trade, investments and joint business projects.
According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga, trade turnover between the countries already amounts to about $2.6 billion, but this figure has significant potential for growth. Ukraine is interested in involving Indian companies in projects to revive the economy and create joint ventures.
A separate direction is digital technologies, artificial intelligence and startups. Kyiv and New Delhi plan to expand cooperation in these areas, which may create new opportunities for the technological business of both countries.
An important signal was also the fact that the visit of Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to Ukraine was the first separate bilateral visit of an Indian Foreign Minister to Kyiv.
For Ukraine, strengthening cooperation with India means access to one of the largest consumer and technological markets in the world, and for Indian business, new opportunities for investment and participation in the recovery of the Ukrainian economy.
The next step should be to deepen trade and economic dialogue and launch new joint projects.
