Banks are actively financing energy infrastructure restoration projects, supporting both businesses and the population. From June 2024 to February 2025, they received 3,685 loan applications totaling UAH 75 billion, of which UAH 13.2 billion has already been financed.According to a survey of 20 banks, the gross portfolio of loans to legal entities for energy needs at the beginning of February was UAH 7.1 billion. In January, businesses submitted 190 applications totaling UAH 2.1 billion, of which 70 were approved for UAH 2.2 billion, and a total of 125 loans were granted for UAH 2.7 billion. The total generation capacity financed through bank loans exceeded 530 MW, with the largest investments in gas-fired cogeneration plants (215 MW), solar power plants (151 MW), and diesel and gasoline generators (122 MW).Financing covers 21 regions of the country. In addition to businesses, banks also lend to the population: in January, citizens received 438 loans for UAH 74 million, and in total since June - 5,708 loans for UAH 731 million. The gross portfolio of loans to individuals for these purposes, including repayments, is UAH 624 million.
